Insights across the value chain

The new European ESRS reporting standard requires detailed information on Vreugdenhil’s 19 material topics. To keep the volume of information manageable, a clear structure with intuitive visuals was chosen. Five overview illustrations provide a snapshot of the impacts, risks, and opportunities across the value chain: procurement, dairy farming, employees, production sites, and customers and consumers.

Clear structure by ESG theme

The material topics are organized into chapters based on Environment (E), Social (S), and Governance (G). Each section begins with a brief introduction and highlights from 2024. The report then offers insights per theme into impact, targets, results, policies, and actions, following the standardized ESRS framework. This consistent structure makes the report suitable for both internal decision-making and external accountability.

User-friendly design

The sustainability report is available digitally and designed for ease of use. A clickable menu structure, consistent layout, and browsing functionality ensure smooth navigation through the ESRS framework of “targets, metrics, policies, and actions.” The recognizable chapter structure in both text and visuals contributes to an accessible and well-organized report.

Care for tomorrow

For Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods, sustainability is not a separate theme but an integral part of every link in the chain—from grass to glass. With this sustainability report, the family business clearly demonstrates where it is already taking action today, and how it continues to build the sector of tomorrow together with dairy farmers, employees, suppliers, and customers. The tagline Care for tomorrow is reflected in everyday decisions, with attention to animals, people, and the environment.
