Effective measures 

We invited a combination of experts in the field of marketing and behaviour, linked to nutrition and health, to an online session. Led by our consultants, the experts explored which (combinations of) measures are feasible and effective in terms of limiting offers and marketing on unhealthy products. Since such measures can be conceived in many forms, this expert session focused primarily on the physical environment. This includes points of sale such as the store floor, on the street, train stations, and the online environment.  

Expert advice 

The experts agreed on several points, including choosing a broad package of measures to combat obesity in general, as well as within the marketing of unhealthy foods and avoiding self-regulation. Additionally, these measures will start with children and in their immediate social environments, such as parents and family, to ensure a healthy start is available for them.
