Diving into the literature
To map plastic use in agriculture, we did literature research. In doing so, we used a variety of sources, including scientific studies and publications from industry associations. Based on this data, we mapped how much plastic is used in the sector each year, for which applications, and what materials are used in it.
On the road to plastic reduction
This study on plastic use in agriculture is a first step towards plastic reduction in the sector. Once it is known how much plastic is used and in what ways, targeted plans can be made for reduction. Less plastic in agriculture means less pollution, less costs, and less burden on the environment.
