Cooperative energy generation

The government wants to encourage sustainable, cooperative energy generation. Initially, this was done through the zip codes. This was a tax scheme where participants in such projects received a partial refund of their energy tax. Since April 2021, the this scheme has changed to a subsidy scheme, the Subsidy for Cooperative Energy Generation or SCE.

Our contribution

For Innax, we keep track of regulatory developments. We list the arguments for increasing the budget and call attention to unintended, negative side effects of the scheme. Our efforts so far resulted in a smoother transition between the old and current rules. We have also been able to support chamber members in formulating chamber questions. Partly due to our efforts, the budget for the SCE was increased significantly in 2022.
