Consultant

Margaux Plurien

I am passionate about international relations, public affairs and sustainability. After several years in Asia, I came back to the heart of European affairs in Brussels to pursue one mission: provide my support to our transition towards a more sustainable system. I am strongly committed to sustainability and I have been selected by the Belgian platform "the Shift" for their Challenger program for the period 2022-2023. As a Junior Consultant, I aim to constantly improve and learn from others, and I am involved in a variety of networks. My goal is to work closely with our clients, gain an in-depth understanding of their needs, to provide them with bespoke support.

About Margaux

I have a double masters in Political Science and International Relations co-delivered by Sciences Po Lyon and the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon (ENS). My master thesis, "the Green Leap Forward", focused on the Chinese energy transition. I had the chance to intern in the press offices of 2 international organizations before the end of my studies: the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea and the European Union Delegation to China. After graduating, I spent 2 years in Malaysia working in international market research, assisting European companies to get into the Asian market. I speak French, English and Mandarin. I then worked as a freelance communication consultant before joining Schuttelaar & Partners. Now, I am most excited about bringing together communication and public affairs, in a comprehensive strategy. At the moment, I am closely following the upcoming due diligence legislative discussion, along with the Carbon Border Tax Mechanism as they connect European companies to their supply chains in Asia and beyond. In Brussels, I joined European Guanxi, a network focusing on Chinese-European relations.
