As a nutrition & communication expert at Schuttelaar & Partners, I have a passion for science based nutrition communication. Most of my assignments are at the interface of nutrition science, food legislation and communication. With sometimes science, sometimes communications and sometimes a fierce regulatory challenge, or a combination, there is never a dull moment in my job! After nearly 20 years of working in this field I am still greatly fascinated by the topic.
About Lotje
I have a master's degree in Human Nutrition at Wageningen University, and have recently (2022) received my certificate for senior communication professional at Van der Hilst Communicatie. Since joining Schuttelaar & Partners in 2002, I have worked for a broad range of clients, varying from food industry to regional and national governments. My projects, as well as active involvement in nutrition organisations NAV and NVVL, have allowed me to build an extensive network in the field.
