Leon Jansen

Léon Jansen is originally a food toxicologist. He obtained his doctorate in molecular biology cancer research and then sought out the link between science and society. At the Voedingscentrum he translated scientific insights into advice for consumers. Today, his passion is to turn complicated matters into practical steps to make food healthier and its production more sustainable.

At S&P, Léon works on substantive projects where alignment with science and stakeholders is essential. Léon understands complicated topics quickly and therefor works on many different topics such as the development of critical performance indicators for biodiversity, resistant fungi in arable farming, methane oxidation and reduction of methane and ammonia emissions from livestock farming. When science and societal issues come together, Léon is your man.
