SIGNSchool meals for developmentSchuttelaar & Partners helped set up the Schoolfeeding Initiative Ghana Netherlands (SIGN) , by which 700 000 schoolchildren receive a home grown meal every day. This project effectively demonstrates two of our core competencies : bringing together stakeholders from different sectors to cooperate in an initiative that provides society with added health and sustainability, and enabling this cooperation to work. In collaboration with government and NGOs in Ghana, we contribute to a novel model for development cooperation, based on broad stakeholder involvement. It contributes to local economic development and enables better health and participation in school for children. |
