Increasing demand for sustainable palm oil

Palm oil is used as an ingredient in approximately half of all packaged consumer products in Europe. To gradually make the production of the world’s primary source of vegetable oil more sustainable, oil palm growers, processors, food companies, retailers, investors and NGOs are working together within the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO).Through the RSPO market communications office – which is based in Schuttelaar & Partners’ Brussels office – we support the RSPO in increasing demand for sustainable palm oil. We do this by communicating with market players and media outside of Asia using a variety of communication tools. To better service (prospective) RSPO members and stakeholders, we run a market and media helpdesk, send out regular newsflashes, develop specific web pages for various user groups, and produce factsheets, presentations, FAQs and Q&A.
